    Handling Tips
To retain the quality of your Pro Racing Fuel, you should place priorities on safe and proper handling. For a complete listing of safety guidelines, please refer to the MSDS for the fuel you are using.

  • Avoid skin contact. Do not use racing fuels as a solvent for cleaning parts.
  • Do not remove the hazardous warning label from the fuel drum.
  • Drums containing racing fuels are not suitable for any other application except racing fuels until that drum has been properly reconditioned.
  • Storage Tips
To preserve the light ends of Pro Racing Fuels and maintain good throttle response:

  • Store your fuels in a cool environment to preserve the integrity of the product.
  • Direct sunlight will cause racing fuel to deteriorate.
  • Minimize transfers from one container to another to avoid leaving light ends (vapors) in different containers.
  • Keep both containers cool that will be involved in fuel transfer to further limit the loss of vapors.
  • Keep storage containers and gas tanks capped at all times to minimize opportunities for vapor loss.Remove pumps when not in use and reinstall Caps on drums securely
  • My engine was designed to run on leaded fuel; would your fuel hurt or damage my motor?

  • No, the correct grade of PRO Racing Fuel will not damage any gasoline engine. Engines need octane and erosion protection for exhaust valves and seats. PRO Racing Fuels provide both.
  • Do I need to lubricate my valve train and rings?

  • No, PRO Racing Fuels contain a multifunctional lead substitute, which puts a tough lubricating film on combustion chamber components.
  • Will your fuel mix with other gasoline?

  • Yes, PRO Racing Fuels will mix with other brands of race fuel, or with pump gas, though this may dilute the performance qualities of our fuel.
  • I run leaded fuel in my race car. What do I have to change in my motor to start using your fuel?

  • Unless you have pre-1970 parts in your motor, no changes are necessary. For peak performance with carbureted engines, a slight enrichment may be advisable.
  • Everybody knows you need lead to make horsepower. How you can do it without using lead in your fuel?

  • What you need to make power is a high heating value and high octane. Lead is a "shortcut" to high octane, but PRO Racing Fuels provide up to 116 octane without lead.
  • Is Pro Racing Fuel a Canadian product?

  • Yes, Pro Racing Fuel is 100% Canadian and has been developed and is blended in Canada.
  • Is there alcohol in your race fuel?

  • No.
